This original 466th BG crew was shot down on their 11th mission, 29 April 1944. Dwan was not on board that day and was replaced by John B. Stuart. Also Robert J. Falk had joined the crew as a waist gunner and was the only man KIA when they were shot down. Pipes and Heafner were evadees. The rest were made POW. 466th Bomb Group collection
