Post war: President of the family baking business, Charles Freihofer Baking Company, from 1948 until 1988, when he was appointed chairman of the board, a position he remained in till his death in 1991. Director and treasurer of Quality Bakers of America Cooperative Inc., and a director of the Independent Bakers Association. Also Chairman of the board of the Cohoes Savings Bank and a director of the following:
