An experimental XP-72, P-47 Thunderbolt (serial number 43-6599). Image stamped on reverse: 'Republic aviation division.' Printed caption on reverse: 'XP-72 Dual Prop)... Equipped with an Aero products dual rotation propeller, a second XP-72 was built using 300 hp, at 25,000 feet, it was rated at a top speed of 504 mph, and it had a normal speed at 2500 hp of 355 mph with full war-emergency power the XP-72 could climb from sea level to 15,000 feet in three and one half minutes.'
