Captain Wilbourne Blount.
Bill Blount
W.E. "Bill" Blount was my Father. He was born in Slocomb, Alabama on July 1, 1915 and died December 7, 1972. I am extremely proud of my Dad and consider him to be a war hero. He served from Grafton-Underwood in the 384th Bomb Group in 1943 and completed his required 25 combat missions over occupied Europe. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross with two oak leaf clusters and the Air Medal for his service.
