Ralph Woolner served with the 10th Photographic Reconnaissance Group.
Later in life, he sent British aviation historian Roger Freeman copies of photos he had taken while in service in Europe. These now form part of IWM's Roger Freeman Collection.
Jack's relative who knew him in the 60's a recalled: 'He had a bathtub in his back yard filled with water, I never really understood that, and he raised bees and packaged honey too. .. In Massachusetts he worked for the Dept of Fisheries and Game, Photographic Dept. They would stock the streams with Brook Trout for us kids to catch. He did TV shows about fishing and was well known as a sport fisherman. Jack and his brother Frank made and sold surf fishing lures.'
