Syracuse, NY | 18 June 1987 | DAM ZAWADZKI DIES - 30-YEAR NPG WORKER Friday, June 19, 1987 | Post-Standard, The (Syracuse, NY) Adam Zawadzki, 71, of 126 McKenney Ave., Mattydale, died Thursday at St. Joseph's Hospital after apparently suffering a heart attack at his home. Mr. Zawadzki was a life resident of the Syracuse area. He retired in 1976 after 30 years with New Process Gear Division of Chrysler Corp. Mr. Zawadzki was a communicant of St. Margaret's Church, Mattydale, a charter member of United Auto Workers Local 624 and a member of the Pastime Athletic Club, the Third War Men's Club and the Mattydale-Hinsdale Senior Club. An Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, Mr. Zawadzki was a member of American Legion Post 1297. Surviving are his wife, Vivian; a daughter, Joyce Gibbs of Vestal; two sons, John A. and David A., both of Syracuse; a brother, Edwin of Baldwinsville; four sisters, Helen Pignatti, Frances Calley, Anne Berry and Eleanor Schlitter, all of Syracuse; seven granddaughters and several nieces and nephews. |
