Military ROLL OF HONOURBall Turret Gunner. Horr Crew. 381st BG, 532nd BS, 8th AF. Shot down 22 June 1943 in B-17 #42-30016 "Iron Gut Gert". Mission #1 - Antwerp, Belgium. First 381st BG mission. MACR 134. Shot down by Major Josef 'Pips' Priller of STAB/JG26 in an FW190A-6. Wounded severely in the aircraft and thrown out by the crew who witnessed the parachute opening. Killed in Action (KIA). Landed and presumed drowned in the River Scheldt. S/Sgt Henry's body was found 6-24-1943. Interred in the North Cemetery, Vlissingen, Netherlands. Grave 163. Reinterred in the Saint Rose of Lima Cemetery in Roscoe, MN.
