MilitaryETTG, Koenig crew. 381st BG, 535th BS, 8th AF. Shot down 19 August 1943 in B-17 #42-3101 'Man-O-War.' Mission #21 to the airfield at Gilze Rijen, Holland. Mix of 533rd and 535th BS crews. MACR 662. Prisoner of War at Stalag XVIIB.
T/Sgt Perkins was captured the next morning and helped carry the caskets of S/Sgt's Jones, Buran and Sabourin at the cemetery.
