People connections added 6 January 2017. These persons (and James W. Couper - Line Chief) were aboard 41-31632 "Danny Boy" while taking off on June 23, 1943. The aircraft had recently been flown over from the US. When leaving Earl's Colne for Boxted, lost manifold pressure (in one engine ?). Crew survived but aircraft was a total loss. They named their replacement aircraft 41-34987 as "Danny Boy II".

From Tully McIntyre: 'My father, Joseph D McIntyre, is third from left standing in rear row. The second from left standing in rear row is the one referenced in crew list as CP White. I have a photo of him in my father's paperwork where he is referenced as "Whitey"'
