Floyd Noullet was Left Waist Gunner on B-17 #42-31565, shot down by Flak immediately after bombs away on a mission to Berlin on 4 March 1944 and crashed SE of Mons, Belgium.
Initially evaded he was later made a Prisoner of War (POW).

Gross Tychow (Tychowo), Poland | 4 March 1944 - 8 June 1945 | After landing about 10km South of Saint-Quentin in parachute in the Aisne Department of France, Floyd Noullet was found by Marcel Nicholas of Tergnier (Aisne department) and sheltered by Mr Masschelein in Villequier-Aumont. On 20 March he was moved to stay with Mrs Ponchon at Beaumont-en-Beine. On 23 July, together with RAF airman W/O Charles Pallett, he was moved to the home of Louis Guillaume in Guivry. On 3 August both airmen were moved to stay with Mme Marie Demarcq at Villequier-Aumont. Noullet and Pallett were both captured there around 10 (or 28) August when the Germans surrounded the village. Floyd Noullet was interned at Stalag Luft 4. |
