702nd Bomb Squadron, 445th Bomb Group, 8th Air Force. WV-V. Flew 9 missions with the 445th BG. Shot down 8 May 1944 by a German FW-190 while on a mission to Brunswick, Germany. All 10 crew bailed out & became POWs. The aircraft crashed near Weidenthal, Germany.
