En route to Hamburg, the ship suffered flak damage from anti-aircraft, the crew bailing out and the ship crashing in the vicinity of Oldenburg, Germany. Nine members of the crew were taken prisoner, with one, the Ball Turret Gunner, killed. No MACR exists for the two planes lost this mission. |
