I'm the nephew of two 8th AF Pilot/Officers. 1st LT. Donald W. Hamaker served with the 452nd BG (H) , 730th BS, from January,1945 through May 1945. He completed 35+ missions and participated in Operation Chowhound . Also 1st LT Leonard Eugene Hamaker served with the 306th BG (H), 367th BS "Clay Pigeons". Completed 5 missions being shot down on a raid to Rommily on December 20, 1942. Taken POW and interned at Stalag Luft 3 in Zagan, Germany (Poland) until January 1945 and Stalag VIIA in Moosburg, Germany from January and liberated on April 29th, 1945.
