Bio

An aviation enthusiast from pre WW2 days. The first USAAF aircraft I ever saw were P-38 Lightnings of 27th FS at Colerne in Autumn 1942. After National Service in the RAF, I had a career in the airline business and on retirement was able to spend many hours researching airfield histories at the National Archives, Kew. Contributed a number of articles to the Journal of the Airfield Research Group.
