Military ROLL OF HONOURAssigned to 374FS, 361FG, 8AF USAAF. Flying P-47D 42-8604, was forced to abort because of a 'runaway' propeller, shortly after taking off for an escort mission 5-Mar-44. While returning to base in a low overcast, his aircraft crashed and exploded near Babraham, Cambridgeshire. Killed in Action (KIA).
