Cunningham Memorial Park 7 November 1948 Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Baptist church at Chelyan for Sgt. Glenn A. Creasey, 19, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred A. Creasey of Cheylan, who was killed June 13, 1944 while on his 11th mission with the 330th Squadron, 92nd Bomber Group at St. Nazaire, France. Sgt. Creasey was an aerial gunner. Rev. R. B. Nelson and Rev. H. E. Crowder will officiate and burial will be in Cunningham Memorial park. St. Albans, Cabin Creek American Legion Post will conduct military rites and veterans will be flower bearers. The body will arrive today and will be taken to the residence of his parents at 2 p.m. tomorrow by the Barlow mortuary. Sgt. Creasey enlisted April 5, 1943. He was awarded the Air Medal posthumously in Feb. 1945 and also received the Presidential citation. He was graduated from East Bank high school and at the time of his enlistment was an employe of the Kanawha Banking & Trust Co. He was a member of the Baptist church of Chelyan. Surviving besides his parents are three brothers, Frederick K. of Kanawha City, J. E. of Chelyan and Jay W. of Charleston.
