Killed in Action (KIA) on 2 September 1943 in B-26B 41-31629 'Janet's Dream' while serving as Navigator/Bombardier. The aircraft was on a mission to bomb the German airfield of Lille/Nord, France when the aircraft was hit by flak and exploded near French coast and crashed at Bergues, France.
