First managed to evade with the help of the Belgian COMET evasion network. Was subsequently arrested. Interned in Germany, most notably in BUCHENWALD, from where, together with more than 10 other Allied airme, he was transferred to other camps. Listed as POW at Stalag Luft 3, Sagan / Zagan, Poland. Liberated at Stalag 7A Moosburg by American troops.
