Eugene Warren Connor


Bombardier on William E Kopf Crew, flew 4 missions in October 1943. On 10 October his B-17 #42-29557 'Yankee Girl' struck the hanger at RAF Desford returning from a mission.

On 14 October, his B-17 #42-3216 'The Joker' was shot down during a mission over Schweinfurt and crashed 10 miles south of Verdun in France. Connor and two other crew members survived the crash and evaded capture, the 7 others were killed in action.
