On August 12, 1944, pilot 1st Lt Ronald Max Nichols and navigator Lt Elbert F Harris (pictured) were on a weather scout report to Russia and Italy in Mosquito bomber NS533. Fell to friendly P-51 fire over Toulouse, France Nichol was KIA.
On August 12, 1944, pilot Nichols and navigator Harris were on a weather scout report to Russia and Italy. Fell to friendly P-51 fire over Toulouse, France. Mosquito caught fire, he climbed out the hatch, hit by the stabilizer and fell spinning. Harris was initially listed Missing in Action (MIA). He returned to base 6 September 1944. Evaded
