Pilot, Lishon crew. 381st BG, 534th BS. Shot down 8 October 1943 in AC #42-30722 'Bobby T'. Mission #36 to the shipyards at Bremen, Germany. MACR 1398. All of the crew were together in captivity on a train to Frankfurt and they were then separated. Prisoner of War at Stalag Luft I.
25 June 1943 piloted a B-17 surviving fighter attack with loss of TG S/Sgt Tieman. Mission #3 to Hamburg, Germany. Was not 42-30722 as this aircraft was not built until July 1943
May have been copilot for 29 July 1943 flight with pilot Arthur Briggs which crash landed in Norfolk on return from Kiel in B17 #42-3221 'Whale Tail' with 3 engines out. Crew returned.
