Curt A Weber
MilitaryCurt was an on base radio operator and the older brother of Horst “Jack” Weber, a B17 navigator. They served in England at the same time and went to London on leave together. They told a story of not being able to find Madam Tussaud’s wax museum so figured they’d get in a cab and have the driver get them there. They got in told him their destination. He looked at them like they were crazy and dropped them half a block away. Curt, Jack and a brother, Eric, who served stateside as an Army instructor got their mom written up in the Portland papers as a “triple blue star mother” whose sons all made it home.
