Clark William Coleman Sr
MilitaryCol. Clark began his military career as a reserve officer in the US Third Cavalry at Ft. Myer, Virginia in 1936. He was under the command of Gen. Patton until the clavalry was disbanded. Gen. Patton went into the tank corps and Col. Coleman transferred to the U. S. Army Air Force. when WW II broke out,Captain Coleman was promoted to Major and transferred to the 8th AF Command in England. he was put in charge of the War Room theater which briefed incoming pilots on German Air Force tactics and aircraft types. After the war he decided to make the military his career. He was promoted to ful Col. and was ordered to Las Vegas in 1949 as the first base Commander. He retired in 1952
