Albert A Zimmerman

Military ROLL OF HONOUR

On November 2, 1944, 1/Lt. Albert A. Zimmerman bailed out of his Mustang due to an engine failure. He landed near Voorthuizen and was picked up by the Dutch resistance. He participated in the failed Pegasus II escape operation and was arrested by the Germans on November 19. Via Dulag Luft West in Oberürsel he was transferred to a (yet) unknown prisoner of war camp where he stayed until his liberation in May 1945.

Albert Zimmerman passed away in Santa Barbara, CA, on May 28, 1989.
