Lebanon, PA 15 January 2001 Roy E. Gettle, 83, Lebanon, died of natural causes Thursday, March 15, 2001, in ManorCare Health Services, Lebanon. He was the husband of Verna M. Blouch Gettle, to whom he was married 58 years in November. Born May 13, 1917, in Lebanon, he was a son of the late Paul and Maude Smith Gettle. He was a retired production supervisor at the former Olmsted Air Force Base in Middletown and had been a salesman at Sears in Lebanon. He was a member of United Methodist Church of the Good Shepherd in Lebanon, Lebanon VFW, American Legion, Benevolent Protective Order of the Elks Lodge 631 and the Izaak Walton League. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in England and France.
