Object Number - UPL 45305 - Basic training portrait of Ray A Jelle

CPL Ray Jelle, the son of a deceased WWI veteran of the Pacific Theater, served as a medical clerk with the 410th Bomb Group's 647th Bomb Squadron in Europe mainly and only perhaps four military service portraits of him survived to be shared after the war - surprisingly he didn't see at least two or three of them in his lifetime. His son Eric served with the 410th Bomb Wing 50 years after Ray's WWII service in the same numbered Bomber Group.
