Clifford A Welden
MilitarySent through to the American Air Museum by Clifford A Welden's son, Clifford Welden Jr:
'Several years ago after my father died, my son downloaded the negatives into prints and made a book using an Apple program. I have more but here are a few out of that book. The shot with the two men- schrapnel hit. The man on the left is my father.'
Clifford Welden served with the 411th Fighter Squadron of the 373rd Fighter Group out of Woodchurch, England.
His son recalls: 'My Dad spoke fondly of his time with the English people and how he admired the way that you all dealt with the bombings. Awestruck. He often said that nothing fazed those in London and the areas he was in.'
