James Frank Gatlin Jr

On December 23, 1944, he was the pilot of “Silver Dollar,” B-26C 42-107671, of the 391st Bomb Group (M), 578th Bomb Squadron (M). The bomber was shot down about 30 miles south of their target, the railroad viaduct at Ahrweiler, Germany.
His remains were recovered in Germany and officially identified on 9-Jan-2015.
