TSgt. Willie Clifton's B-17G, 42-37985, The Saint, was damaged by flak on a bombing mission over Germany. The Saint, diverted due to damage and landed in Sweden. Interned. 9 April 1944.
TSgt Clifton was interned (INT) by the Swede's and later released to return to service (RTS) with his crew. The Saint, was salvaged 25/5/45, and was released from Sweden with it's crew. 31/5/45. Missing Air Crew Report 3650.
