Flight-Surgeon Captain George R. Hornig talks to two 56th Fighter Group pilots. One of them has been identified as Norman E. Brooks of the 61st Fighter Squadron. The other could be Captain Robert A. Lamb as it is the controls of his P-47 Thunderbolt that they are gathered around. Passed for publication on 29 November 1943. Printed caption attached to print: '"Ace" Flight-Surgeon is combination family physician, foster-father and chaplain. Associated Press photo shows: "Doc" Hornig discusses the effects of oxygen with Lt. N. E. Brooks, of Phoenix, Arizona, just back from a high altitude flight over enemy territory.
