Died

Conway, AR 28 August 2004 Riggs McLean Tucker, age 81, of Conway, passed away Saturday, August 28, 2004 at his home. He was born July 1, 1923 in Fosterville, TN to the late Joe A. Tucker and Ora Henley Tucker. He was also preceded in death by four brothers and one grandson, Biff Shaikh. Mr. Tucker was a retired U.S. Air Force Major. He graduated flight school on July 27, 1943 and served in WWII receiving the Distinguished Flying Cross and Air Medal. He also served in the Korean Conflict and was repeatedly cited for heroism serving with air and sea rescue. He received his Bachelor degree from Trinity University and his Masters degree from Utah State University. After retiring from military service he taught Economics at the University of Central Arkansas until his retirement on May 15, 1990. He was also a member of the Conway First Baptist Church.
