Joseph F. Denver, "Joe Philly", 96th BG/337th BS. This picture was taken during the first occupation of Germany at base Y-90, Wurzburg, Germany; 357th Fighter Group (P-51's) , late 1945-46. "Lonesome Polecat" was my fathers P-51D.
