'My father was stationed with the US Army Air Force in England, possibly starting in 1943 or 1944. Recently in moving I found the enclosed photo which I had not seen before. My father wrote on it "1945 photo, Recon Group, Walton Air Base, England." My father, Robert C. Hahn, was quite young at the time and is in this photo, the third person from the right in the very back row (his face is partially obscured by the person in front of him). '

Howaed ZE. Kaplan is further identified in photo of 25th Bomb Group commanders located there in 3rd/4th row 2nd from left (on steps). In this photo, he is located in the front row, 5th from left.

KIA 19 March 1945. OSS KIA OSS mission(during CHISEL insertion mission) to Munster, Germany. A26 crashed in moor near Bramshe, Germany, just north of destination. to Munster, Germany.

This is my father's brother, and I am named after him.
The ABM records listed all three awards and I have seen, held and just donated
Uncle Bill's Airmans medal and Purple heart to the Carpetbagger's Museum, Harrington, UK. I am afraid the Bronze Star has not yet been found.
