Missing Air Crew Report – MACR 10478. NOTE : The caption for #44-13707 on page 63 of the book “’Down to Earth’ Strafing Aces of the Eighth Air Force” by William N. Hess (Osprey Publishing – Bloomsbury Piblishing – 2012) wrongly states that it was “shot down by a Bf 109 near Groenlo in Holland on 26 November 1944 whilst being flown by Lt Jack T Gaston, who was killed.”
