IMAGEA good clear image of the nose/cockpit of a P-51 "Mustang" named 'Little Sir Echo II'. The pilot, Lt. Colonel Berg, stands adjacent to it in his A-2 flying jacket and 1941 pattern Mae West and appears to be holding an early pattern C-type and A-14 oxygen mask. The image is officially captioned at the bottom (from the negative) and dated 03-5-44. Berg's name can be seen on the side of the cowling as 'Major Berg'. Colonel Russell A. Berg was Commanding Officer of the 12th Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron (10th PRG) from 20th June 1944 for an unknown period.
