My father-in-law Frank Charles Frantzen (deceased 1976) was shot down over Politz, Germany and was interned in Sweden where he met his future wife Elaine Pearson.  After the war, he returned to the Bronx, New York and then requested departure from the United States so he and Elaine could get married.  He and Elaine were married in Sweden and both returned to the Bronx where they had two sons, Ronald and Roger.  Several years later they had a house built in Oceanside, New York (Long Island) where they had a set of twins, a boy and a girl, Brian and Karen.  Brian is my late husband, he passed in 2017. Roger and his wife took possession of the house after Elaine passed in 1983. This picture was found in the house when Roger passed in 2011.

Frank was a tail gunner in Battlin' Baby a B-24 Liberator.  We always thought this was his plane but the name on the nose is Lovely (something).  This may be a B-17 (Lovely Lady?).  I have attached another photo of the top of the plane and their is a name on the side of the cockpit L.I Fistmeier (slightly illegible).  Nobody with this name was part of Frank's crew.
