489TH MICKEY BASKIN, HALESWORTH 2012. FOLDED WINGS – Horace ‘Mickey’ Baskin Mickey Baskin passed away on 15th June 2016. Mickey was Radio Operator with the Morse crew in the 844th. Their last mission (32) was on 11th September 1944. Mickey returned to Halesworth on many occasions, with the 2nd Air Division, on 489th Reunions, with his wife Rita, and with friends. His last visit was in 2012 for what he called “my last hurrah!”
