"The bombs go down from one of the Flying Fortresses. Abbeville/Drucat, German occupied A/D. This attack made on 19-Aug-44 was part of allied operation against Dieppe. In the foreground can be seen seven bombs that were released by a preceding aircraft. One the grounds may be seen bombs exploding as specified in the Annotations." Annotations: A/ Bombs bursting in the North dispersal area. C/ Bursts on the northern end of the NE / SW runway. F/ Bursts on flak position - the battery is of light AA character. G/ Bursts on light flak positions. H/ Bursts near a heavy flak position.
