A B-24J Liberator (RE-V, serial number 42-51523) of the 329th Bomb Squadron, 93rd Bomb Group in flight. Handwritten message on reverse: ‘Stockholm, 11/11/69 – “Dear Roger, It was quite a time since I last heard from you, but perhaps you are busy with other things. I got a letter today from 487B.G. and they told me that B-24J ser.no. 42-100306 was not 487B.G. You told me so in your letter 16/12 1968. I have found out through photos that the plane belonged to 446B.G. Am I wrong? The photo on this card shows B-24J 42-51523 on it’s way back to England from Sweden summer 1945. I hope you don’t have it in your files. I would be most happy to hear from you again. I haven’t found your book yet. Yours…. Torbjorn Olausson.”
