"Formerly a photographer with Acqua Studio in NY City, S/Sgt Victor A Labruno 22 419 2nd St Jersey City NJ, has been given credit for snapping on of the air wars most outstanding pictures while flying as a combat aerial photographer during the 8th AF attack on the synthetic oil plants at Brux, near the border of Czechoslovakia. As more than 100 German fighters attacked the formation of flying fortresses, Sgt LaBruno crouched in the radio room of the Boeing B-17 'Lady Godiva' and caught a dramatic action shot of a Nazi Messerschmidt 410 less than 25 feet of the wing of the big bomber just as the fighter pulled away to start into a dive."
