Major George E Bostwick, [ Dayton, OH]. 62nd Fighter Squadron. P-47D LM-Z "Ugly Duckling". (starboard side unnamed). The only known P-47Ds assigned to George were 42-26042 and 42-26280 both of which were D-22 models. This one is clearly a later "bubble-top" and the serial is currently unknown.
