This photo was taken from B-17 "Memphis Belle" on her last combat sortie. Mary Ruth-Memories of Mobile was named by the crew in honor of Mary Ruth King who married pilot Loren E. Roll in Mobile, Alabama while on a repair layover in that town while en-route to England on March 19, 1943.
