Normandy cows graze around Airspeed AS51 Horsa glider #31- USAAF markings are painted over the original RAF ones. Somewhere down the field will lie the nose wheel assembly that has been ripped off and evidently the cargo door/ramp has been re-purposed as it is missing. Most of the cockpit glazing is missing, so it may have landed under heavy fire, one ponders the fate of the crew.
