Shot down 14 May 1943 in the B-24D, 41-24278, Miss Delores. Prisoner of War (POW) imprisoned at Stalag Luft III and moved to Stalag 17 at Munich 48-11. His usual plane was the Suzy Q, but it was being repaired that day. He flew over 20 missions. He was a member of The Caterpillar Club.
