Due to bad weather, B-17G #42-97443 made a wheels up landing near Belmullet, Co. Mayo, Ireland on 24 Jan 1944 after making several attempts to land at Nutts Corner, Northern Ireland on a ferry flight from Goose Bay, Labrador. RTD.
