Military ROLL OF HONOURKilled in Action (KIA). B-17 42-3268 'Carol Jane'. Plane exploded on take-off, had reached 500 feet when it veered sharply to the side. Bomb load blew up and the gasoline all at one time. Everone on board was killed.
