Paul was born 7/30/1923 in Scotch Plains, NJ to Italian immigrants.

In September of 1941 he entered University of Iowa and studied Aeronautical Engineering. He had to leave Iowa University in April of 1943 (completed 2 years) and entered into the service of Engineer Corps at Camp Shelby, Miss. Shortly after that, he transferred to the Army Air Force and was ordered to Kessler Field, Miss., and later to George Peabody College in Nashville. In June of 1944 he graduated Radio Army Air Force Training Command School at Scott Field and began training at the AAF Gunnery School in Yuma, Arizona, where he remained until earning his Gunner's Wings in September of 1944.  He received his baptism in aerial combat on April 10th, 1945. As a radio operator and gunner on a B-17 Flying Fortress (Missbehaven Raven), he participated in aerial assaults on Nazi Germany's railroad yards in the Ruhr Valley. This was part of the campaign of the AAF against Nazi oil & freight transportation centers - to slow them down. On 11/30/1945 he was honorably discharged. He was decorated with the American Theater Ribbon, European-African-Middle East Ribbon, two Bronze Battle Stars, Air Medal, Good Conduct Medal, WWII Victory Medal.

After his discharge, he completed his last 2 years of college at Catholic University in Washington, DC.

On 11/25/1950 he married June Barbara Gill. They were married for 50 years and had 5 children and 6 grandchildren.

Paul was a home builder and developer in New Jersey for 45 years before retiring to Kennebunk Beach, Maine. He was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign War and the American Legion in Scotch Plains, New Jersey.

He died on 8/25/2000 after suffering a stroke the year before.
