The crew of the bomber in which Lt. Bieker made most of his missions was a part of the group known as “Teds Flying Circus “ which was important in the raids on the Ploesti oil fields in Romania. This crew also participated in bombing raids over the French coast, Berlin and important rail centers and ammunition plants in Germany and Belgium.
