Flew 35 missions-many harrowing times. Most every mission our aircraft (B-24's) was hit by flak causing holes and damage but luckily no one was injured and we got back home safe. I flew in the tail position 29 times and 6 in the nose turret. I consider myself very fortunate and many miracles were bestowed on me!
