Lt. Jack H Roach took part in Operation Tidal Wave, the raid on Ploesti, flying aboard the B-24 41-23722,'Bomerang'. He flew on a total of 23 combat missions. On a mission to Osnabruck, Germany in the B-24 42-63982, Jack Frost his plane was hit by flak. It spun down and exploded. He was Killed in Action (KIA). MACR 2190
